Merry Christmas to all!
Thursday, December 23rd, 2010Whether you celebrate Christmas, Yule, Channukah, Kwannza, or not, I wish you the best of the season’s well wishes. This holiday season is chock full of various religious events. But whether or not you celebrate any of them, this time of year means more to me.
It means sending well wishes to those you love and those you don’t. To find that nugget of familiarity in the nonfamiliar. To see the threads that are common to all and to cherish those.
For all, regardless of where you live, or how you choose to worship (or even if you do not), the common threads are a wish for peace. For tranquility. For health. For comfort and to be safe. To be free to be the you that you are and to relax in the friendship of loved ones.
I wish all of that for you. Since my faith is Christian, I bestow the happiest greeting we have, “Merry Christmas” on you and yours. Please share this same blessing, in words that are important to you, to those in your circle and allow this season to be one of unification and peace.
