And on a slightly different note…
This blog is rather like life. Well, my life, at least. In that, it seems to move from subject to subject. Trust me, it isn’t disjointed. But whenever something crosses my mind, well…I like to share.
Tonight, my water heater broke. I went out into the garage to take out some trash and twin streams of water were on the concrete. I’ve had this happen before (weirdly enough, the first time on the day returning from my honeymoon with the kids’ dad…should have taken THAT as a harbinger, but alas…I was a tad slow) so I rather know the score. It has been 10 years, after all. And things do wear out.
Fortunately for me, both of the home improvement stores are close at hand. Also, a friend’s husband owns a plumbing company. So, I should be able to get the water heater replaced by the end of tomorrow. It is just that I had other plans for a bit of extra money!
I mean, I was walking through Best Buy tonight, staring lovingly at the new flat screen tv’s…
Now that cash will have to go to a water heater. It’s okay, really it is. I like warm baths. But it is definitely not even close to as much fun!
Sometimes life just throws a curve ball..but it’s okay. I dodge pretty well! Hope your day is blessed!
