Where I muse about just about everything...
From the weather in Texas, to my kids, pets, travel and friendships. Basically, about life. And oh yeah, about my Coquette Bath & Home™ products, too.
I was going through a bit of email withdrawal! Any time anything that is technology based fails...I panic a bit. But it is okay now (there, there...LOL)...and the email is back. BUT my records, well they aren't. Fortunately, I don't think I had anything really important saved on the old server, but this is yet another reason (for me) to not re
The new site is functional, but the email isn't. Here and I thought I was just changing the site! If you email me, or need to do so, contact me via my facebook, ok? I'll post an update here when it is fixed.

First post...some musings
Hi! Please don't be put off by the dark musings above. But that quote has always been a favorite of mine. Yep, it can be somewhat gloomy, but everything does have a method to be born. And sometimes, it just isn't easy.
This is the first post on my new website. If you've been 'with me' for some time, you're probably thinking 'oh dear, here she goes again...' And it is true that I do seem to modify and update often. It isn't intentional. Making website changes (especially those as drastic as going to a brand new look, new host, new everything) is pretty painful. I'm not a website whiz. I don't program html. I'm actually somewhat thrilled that I actually KNOW what html stands for...(geek break: hypertext markup language...)
Not that I really know what that IS, but hey, the first step to knowledge is to acknowledge that you're ignorant, right? Well, I'm slightly less ignorant than before, so we're moving in a positive direction.
The one thing I'm not good at is adding photos. But this new blog seems easy, so let me pop one in now...
That's a bloom from the crepe myrtle tree that blooms outside my office window. It isn't in bloom right now--this photo is from several years ago--but I love it so much that I had to repost! Such vibrant color. It's happy and that happiness is catching.
And that flows beautifully (see, I did have some idea where I was going with this ramble) into my products. I like color. I like scent. I like simplicity, too. So, you won't find a whole lot of 'OMG, I did NOT do well in chemistry' sounding names on my products. Yep, in aqueous (water based) I do use preservatives...and those aren't exactly easy to pronounce. But otherwise? I use cocoa butter, shea oil, castor oil, beeswax. I like happy colors and vivid scents.
I began this business a long time ago. A bit more on that in my About us section. But for now, for this first entry. I'll just wave hi at you. And wait until the crepe myrtle blooms again.
